Hintze Dance Center

Located in northwest Houston, Hintze Dance Center provides amateur and competitive dance instruction for children of all ages, from toddlers to teens.

Virginia Hintze, owner and artistic director of Hintze Dance Center, danced professionally for many years, and has devoted her time since then to teaching and custom choreography. Her studio is dedicated to the ideal that any child with the desire to dance should be given the opportunity to make that dream possible.

Classes address the needs of beginning, intermediate, and advance dancers, and offer a variety of disciplines, including jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, ballet, pointe, drill team, and hip-hop. Tutu La Dance is a special program tailored exclusively for budding ballerinas aged 3-6 years. Adult tap and hip-hop classes are also available.

All classes learn a dance routine specifically choreographed for them, and are encouraged to perform during the annual full-costume recital held in June. A competitive Dance Company is assembled every year, grouped by age and ability into Mascot, Apprentice, Junior, and Senior troupes.
