Jessica Lott is currently a Freshmen Dance Science Major
at Texas A&M University. She has been dancing for 15 years now, training at various places in the Houston
area in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Contemporary and Modern. She has competed as a member of the Hintze Dance
Center Competition team under the direction of Virginia Hintze and Michelle Chaverria and was a member of her
high school drill team, the Crimson Cadettes. Jessica has won numerous high point awards and scholarships from
competing at dance competitions and dance conventions, including being personally invited by the artistic
director of Joffrey Ballet School’s Contemporary program to participate in their summer
intensive. Jessica was selected to perform in opening number
acts at Star Systems, Starbound, and Show stoppers national competitions and has traveled with her
competition team to Austria, Germany and Italy to perform in the Young! Tanzsommer Dance Festival. She has
had the privilege to take master classes from Millie Johnnie (former dancer with Urban Bush Women), Karen
Potter (Director of Case Western Reserve Dance Department), Gary Galbraith (former dancer with the Martha
Graham Dance Company), Terrence Duncan (former principal dancer with New York Theatre Ballet) Dorrell Martin
(Creator/director of the Jazz and Contemporary program at the Joffrey Ballet School) among many others. She
has also been acknowledged for her own choreography and has choreographed numerous works. Jessica enjoys
performing but most of all enjoys teaching children of all ages. She has taught at Hintze Dance Center in
Houston, Texas, Gentri Gandry Dance Factory in College station, Texas and at Expressions Dance Studio in
College Station, Texas. Currently Jessica teaches during the school year at Expressions Dance Studio,
choreographs and guest teaches at Hintze Dance Center.
